The 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Public Tasting will be held on the pier at Fort Mason in San Francisco February 18, 2017. The largest competition of American wine in the world is a sell out each year with over 7000 wines competing for the top honors. We are pleased to shine among the best made in America with medals for our 2012 Aratas Napa Valley Petite Sirah and 2015 Aratas Carneros Chardonnay. As a boutique producer in Napa Valley we craft limited single vineyard wines. We select just a very few public tasting events each year so this is a special opportunity to taste the wines available only through our mailing list or from the cellar at fine dining establishments.
For the past 17 years, the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition has been the barometer of how consumers measure and select their wine. The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC) is the largest competition of American wines in the World and broke records again last year with an astonishing 6,417 entries. Submissions came pouring in from boutique wineries and large scale producers spanning 28 different states throughout the country.
