The 2022 Aratas 'Surreptitious' Rosé Wine is produced from cool climate estate Pinot Noir in Los Carneros Napa . This is medium bodied Rosé, a refreshing white wine for red drinkers if we may. And we hope you will.
The vineyard is planted in fertile shallow soils comprised of sandy clay and loam. These premium light skinned grapes are grown just steps from the winery in the coveted, cool and breezy vineyards of Napa's Los Carneros AVA . The skins macerated for just a few hours imparting a vibrant pressed watermelon color rich in flavor but light and refreshing. The juice was fermented in stainless tanks to keep it delightfully crisp in style then aged in French oak for 6 months to add texture to the palate.
Each elegant bottle was laboriously hand harvested and crushed then bottled with natural Lafitte cork. Our "little secret" is a limited production wine rarely distributed.
