Société Mondiale du Vin special guest Aratas Wine

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs™ is the world’s oldest and largest food and wine society. The society is vintage, but the events are cutting edge! The United States chapter is now in its 56th year with 6,000 members including gourmands, gourmets, gastronomes, chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, oenologists, winery owners, sommeliers, food and wine educators, and others interested in the fine dining and enjoying the camaraderie of friends at dinners and culinary events. The tradition of the royal guild of goose roasters of 1248, fell during the French Revolution was again revived in Paris in 1950.

The 2019 Société Mondiale du Vin National Weekend and Young Sommeliers Competition Finals was held in Napa, CA April 24-27, 2019 and welcomed Stephanie Douglas, Vintner Aratas Wine as a guest speaker at the “PS I Love You” educational seminar. The four day event was an immersion in Napa’s food and wine scene and included educational seminars, wine tastings and fabulous dining experiences. Become a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs™ and affiliate Chaîne des Connoisseurs™ to take part as a non-member of this prestigious organization. The weekend culminated with a gala to recognize the Sommeliers in the Société Mondiale du Vin Young Sommeliers Competition Finals. The Société Mondiale du Vin (“Mondiale”) was created to promote the enjoyment, knowledge and understanding of fine wines and crafted beverages.

Members in good standing of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs may be members of Mondiale. A person — professionally involved in the wine and spirits industry or an amateur connoisseur with special interest and knowledge of wine and crafted spirits may seek membership in the Société Mondiale du Vin.

The Chaînes Foundation provides scholarships for students seeking professional studies in the culinary and wine industry and is a qualified 501 (3) C Organization.
