Aratas & Telluride Wine Festival Elevates Great Taste

The 2019 Telluride Wine Festival teamed up with Aratas Wine to welcome wine lovers and outdoor enthusiasts from around the country at the 39th Annual event on the mountain. No car needed. Patrons gathered in the gondola, hiked the hills and pedaled the town to take part in an array of spectacular wine and culinary events.

Blue skies and big red wines were the perfect pairing for an unforgettable four days of world class wine in a town known for its world class skiing. Vintner Stephanie Douglas was honored to be this year’s host of the “Women’s Winemaker Luncheon” held at the uber luxurious Auberge Madeline Resort in Mountain Village. The famous Aratas Wine Angels flew in to pour only the best vintages including new releases and sought after library wines of Aratas to attending guests. Flagship events included the “Grand Gala” tasting and the “Toast of the Town”, a sip and stroll through the area’s finest shops, art galleries and flower filled squares. Each day Star Chefs and Somms teamed up to present a series of educational wine tastings paired with Insta worthy bites. The curated events presented something for every interest.

The marathon weekend culminated in a street long celebratory gourmet brunch that stopped traffic. Five hundred friends from near and far gathered to take a seat at our table…4 blocks long. We invite you to head for the hills and save the date to join Aratas Wine and her Angels at next years event: Late June 2020.

The Telluride Wine Festival operates a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that supports regional farmers, culinary & hospitality businesses and educational organizations. Our collaborations serve to educate and improve the way children eat and their understanding of sustainability.
